News"Brutal Nelson Home Invasion:NPD
Nelson police are releasing information about a rare home invasion that they're calling "extremely brutal."
NPD Sgt Paul Burkart says at around 10:15 Thursday night last week a group of men broke into the back of the victim's home in lower Fairview. Burkart says weapons were used ( although not firearms) and the male victim suffered significant injury and was transported to the Trail regional hospital's ICU.
He could not confirm if drugs are involved but police suspect the attackers and victim know each other and there is no immediate risk to Nelson residents.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
