Big Support For Castlegar Library
Castlegar has come to terms on a three year funding agreement with its library that one councillor says was negotiated very easily.
Gord Turner says the library will receive a 2% annual increase in funding each year that ends with a $283,000 commitment in 2014.
Turner says the increases will ensure stability for the library and its staff adding rural areas I and J of the RDCK are also helping with costs.
He says the funding will now be disbursed semi-annually rather than quarterly at the library's request so they can better manage cash flow.
