104-year-old Injured in Castlegar Crash

A 104-year-old woman was among six people taken to hospital following a head-on crash in Castlegar yesterday.
 
That after an Acura avoided a turning grey pick-up truck at Minto road and Highway 22 and hit an oncoming Lexus.
 
RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew says it doesn't look like the Acura driver was to blame.
 
The 104-year-old, who was a passenger in the Lexus, suffered serious injuries including broken ribs and a punctured lung.
 
The driver and a 71-year-old passenger in that vehicle suffered bruising and shock.
 
Three people in the Acura, including the 18-year-old driver, were treated for minor injuries and released.
