Teck Donates $1 million to Trans-Canada Trail

Teck Resources Ltd. is handing $1 million to the Trans-Canada Trail.
Trail operations spokesman Richard Deane says the money will go towards the completion of certain sections of the national trail in our region.
Seventy-six per cent of the trail in BC is complete so the money will go to local trails organizations for unfinished parts.
Deane says Teck wants to be part of connecting communities and families, and to help boost tourism and recreation opportunities of the trail.
