NewsFinal Prep Underway For Kootenay Festival
Final preparations are underway for the Second Annual Kootenay Festival, set to go Saturday at the Doukhobor Discovery Centre grounds in Castlegar.
Festival Chair Audrey Maxwell Polovnikoff says things are going well: they've had their final meeting and vendors and entertainers are very excited. Volunteer response has been great, but Polovnikoff says they need more help for the cleanup on Saturday night.
3 Golf carts have been offered up as well to help seniors and those who need assistance getting around. As per last year, there's a free shuttle service leaving from either side of town starting at 1015am.
