Don't be fooled by the cooler temperatures.
The South East Fire Centre is reminding residents that drought-like conditions persist and the wildfire danger remains high, so open-burning is still prohibited.
Fire Information Officer Karli Shaughnessy says they've had to deal with 16 outdoor burning situations around the region. There is still a ban on burning piled material, stubble and grass and if you do that can result in a ticket and fine.
Small campfires are allowed.
